2026 Foundry Industry Outlook

The foundry sector enters the second half of 2026 with better confidence, while energy costs, workforce availability and uncertain demand remain important risks. The American Foundry Society reported that 72 percent of respondents to its March 2026 survey held a positive outlook, 95 percent expected capital investment, and AFS projected 4.2 percent growth in US casting sales.
